The Holiday PalmThis is the story of a lonely little palm tree who wishes he could be more like the Christmas tree he sees through the window. It was inspired by seeing the first snowfall in Savannah, GA in about 7 years and how cool palm trees looked covered in snow.
Polaris I AnimaticPolaris was my senior collaboration film. It was a small team of 8 students, working together on this 2D/3D hybrid. This scene takes place at the end of the film, when the protagonist Aushna is forced to face her fears of the enormous Goliath and return the energy source that she stole from him. This is from an earlier draft where, as she stood down the Goliath, a Goddess would appear behind her in a "Chosen-One" moment, stopping the Goliath seconds before he reaches Aushna.

Polaris II AnimaticThis scene is towards the beginning of Aushna's traveling montage. She must go on a long journey to a far away destination to obtain a mysterious energy source for her dying city. This was the part of the montage where she enters a long dark cave full of obstacles.

Polaris III AnimaticDuring this shot in Polaris, Aushna is deep in the caves. I played with the idea of her silhouette jumping through the caves while keeping the arc of her light continuously traveling through the shot.
